In 2007, my life changed completely. After diving into a pool, I broke my cervical spine. The injury resulted in quadriparesis and a long period of rehabilitation, during which I gradually made my way back to an active life. Despite this life-changing event, I decided to keep going — to work on myself and look for new challenges.
One of them came in 2022, completely unplanned.
I got into archery thanks to a friend who invited me to try the sport. It started as a spontaneous experience, but after the first shot I knew it wouldn't stay at just one try. The bow grabbed me immediately, and with it my natural competitiveness woke up too. From the very first moment, I didn't just want to shoot. I wanted to be the best.
Gradually I realized archery wouldn't just be a hobby for me. I started training and competing regularly, working to move one step further with every competition.
Every competition was a new experience for me, and at the same time a chance to find out what I still needed to work on. Step by step I improved, achieved better and better results, and reached the international level. Today I represent Slovakia in para archery in category W1.
Archery is more than a sport to me. It's a path of constant improvement, discipline, and pushing past my own limits. Behind every result are hours of training, preparation, and work on details that often aren't visible at first glance.
My goal is simple — I want to win. I don't want to settle for just making it to a competition or being among the best. I want to keep pushing forward, compete with the best archers in the world, and fight for victory at every competition I enter.
Maybe not today.
Maybe not tomorrow.
But one thing is true:
I will be a World Champion.
